Galactian Alignment System

The Galactian Alignment System is a system of xenogenders . "Galactian alignments are terms for nonbinary people to express their alignment or affiliation with binary genders, without erasing their nonbinary status or reducing them to “basically ”. Alignment is not indicative of what someone’s gender “really” is, their agab, or whether their gender has masculine or feminine qualities."1.

History

"The three root terms are solarian (male/man-aligned), lunarian (female/woman-aligned), and stellarian (unaligned). These were coined in August-September 2016 in a discord server by multiple tumblr users including moonbian…The three terms were combined to form solstellarian (stellarian and solarian), stellunarian (stellarian and lunarian), sollunarian (solarian and lunarian), and solstellunarian (all three). Distinct words were then coined as synonyms for the combination words: novarian (solstellarian), nebularian (stellunarian), eclipsian (sollunarian), and galaxian (solstellunarian). At some point all these terms started being called galactian alignments. Singularian was then coined for people who reject the alignment system completely, and by definition cannot be combined with any galactian alignment."2

A number of additional demi-terms, which seem to be coined by the same group of people exist as well, and two new terms were coined by other tumblr users. Neularian (demi-lunarian) was coined by momma-mogai-sphinx on February 6, 20193. Soleilian (demi-solarian) was coined by system-mogai and kalliepride on October 18, 20184.

Charts

Both are designed by System-Mogai5. The first chart shows the relationship of each term to the others and to masculinity/femininity, but it's also flawed; Solarian + Stellarian is Eclipsian, Solarian + Lunarian is Novarian.

Neularian/

Neularian refers to a gender alignment which is feminine in nature, but does not have any ties to femaleness or womanhood whatsoever. What it means to have a FIN alignment can be different to different people; but if your gender feels in someway tied to or resembling femininity or your experiences with and understanding of your identity (whether it would be considered feminine or not) are shared with or mirror those who would define themselves as feminine, you may be feminine-aligned.
The term was originally “neufem lunarian”; the use of “neufem” was meant to signify femininity irrespective of gender identity (femininity as it exists outside of genderedness). The use of the term lunarian signifies that it is a subcategory of lunarian alignment, which some define as being either woman-aligned or feminine-aligned (this term being specific to the latter). A person whose gender alignment is feminine may or may not present/express femininely.
The flag is a combination of the Femineutral flag and one of the Lunarian flags.
