Musicagender is an Audiogender defined as "when your gender can only be described through a specific musical aesthetic and/or genre."¹

It was re-coined as "when your gender can only be described through a certain musical aesthetic, genre, or band/artist.”²

History of the term

Musicagender was coined on or before July 17, 2014 by transmomoi.³ The the second definition and the flag were created on January 6, 2019 by tumblr user genderstorming.⁴
