Aedragenders/Daedragenders are both umbrella terms for two specific types of fiction-based genders and a single subtype of fictigender which is composed of genders derived aesthetically from the Aedra and Daedra of the Elder Scrolls universe. These beings are divine (Aedragenders) and/or demonic (Daedragenders), and, regardless of their spheres of influence, have far better things to do with their godly powers than being patrons of MOGAI genders. There are nerds, and then there are nerds.

And then there’s this.

History of the term

Both Aedragender and Daesdragender were coined on February 2, 2018 by Uncommongenders' Admin Kyle and tumblr user fathermartinarchimbaud. Aedragender is defined as "an umbrella term for genders based on the Aedra from the Elder Scrolls Series."1 Daedragender is defined as "an umbrella term for genders based on the Daedric Princes from the Elder Scrolls Series."2
The first aedragender flag and the daedragender flag were created on this date as well. The second aedragender flag, also by Admin Kyle and fathermartinarchimbaud was posted on April 29, 2018.

MOGAI-Watch Poem

Aedragender

My gender is a godly being
from a video game
that didn’t exist till recently,
but it’s valid all the same.

Come at me with lawsuits–
my defense is airtight:
my right to use this gender
trumps the makers’ copyright.

Daedragender

My gender might be classed a god,
or may be classed demonic;
what is sure is it’s from a realm
both made-up and chthonic.

Just like Albus Dumbledore,
my gender’s a white light;
for I fend off evil forces
and am always in the right.

policing muggle-borns;
they just hate the fact that
we’re too cool for gender norms.
